ARCH College Hosts Batik Art Masterclass

Sri Lankan designer Darshi Keerthisena visited ARCH College, where she led an inspiring masterclass at the Jaipur campus.

As the Creative Director and CEO of Buddhi Batiks, Darshi has revitalized traditional batik art by integrating sustainable practices and contemporary techniques. During the session, she shared her creative journey, demonstrating the intricate process of hand-painting prints using eco-friendly dyes and wax. Her showcase featured iconic collections, including ‘In Love with My Neighbour Country’ and her Bridal Collection, highlighting innovative applications of batik across diverse fabrics and products.

Darshi’s commitment to sustainability and her passion for design experimentation left a lasting impression on our students. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn from such a visionary in the fashion industry.
