The Changing Room’ Installation

‘The Changing Room’ Installation:

The 25ft garment A representation of Want and Need by the ARCHERS: It is a trial room, a concept feeding on Neophilia, accelerating fast fashion and trendsetting catalysing the constant feud between need and want. Ms Archana Surana’s vision has taken shape from the question of how the waste introduced in Design and specifically fashion education in the form of patterns and test fits, can be better dealt with. Thus, a 25ft long garment was created from the waste created during fashion education as a representation of the society to keep changing itself according to the visual relevance in terms of fashion and its seasons. A research paper on the same was presented at the Responsible Fashion Series, Antwerp.

ARCH won the 'Uniform Design Contest' conducted by Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Limited (JMRCL) and is the official Consultant Designer for the complete range of uniforms covering all cadres for the Jaipur Metro Corp.

NWFC (Non-Western Fashion Conference) 4Th Edition, Antwerp:

ARCH’s Founder & Director, Ms Archana Surana presented her paper on 'Heritage Crafts in Fashion Business – Tradition to Modernity.' as keynote speaker at the 4th edition of NWFC held at Antwerp.
In addition, students from the Fashion Department, Megha Goyal and Akshita Airan, also presented their research papers.

Fashion Design Awards India (FDAI)

Inspired by the beautiful paintings of Amer Fort Jaipur, Deepa Bhati, Fashion Department ARCH won the 'Fashion Design Awards India (FDAI)' for her collection themed "Life is Beautiful".

ARCH students Agantuk Singh

ARCH students Agantuk Singh, Pallavi Gupta, Ravi Ranjan, Sujit Kumar & Vinita Chandwani were the final five among 10 students selected. Sujit Kumar won the FIRST prize of Rs.15,000 and a trip to Turin, Italy. Vinita Chandwani was awarded Rs 5,000/- as 1st Runners Up.

International Foundation of Fashion Technology Institutes (IFFTI) invited its member Institutions from all over the world to participate in the Poster Design Competition "The Power of Fashion". All three entries from ARCH students were selected for exhibition at the conference venue, the Bunka Gakuen University, Tokyo, Japan.

ARCH student Shruti Vinayak garment - Mink 'Mean Sky' under the theme Meenakari was shortlisted and was showcased by models on the ramp at the IFFTI conference at MMU, Manchester UK.

Fiat Emozione Italiana

Fiat Emozione Italiana

The Fiat Emozione Italiana was the first contest event to involve Design Schools in the Automotive Domain, experimenting with the colour and trim for the Fiat Linea in 2020. The event was guided by Italian car designer, Emanuele Nicosia.

ARCH students Agantuk Singh, Pallavi Gupta, Ravi Ranjan, Sujit Kumar and Vinita Chandwani were the finalists and Sujit Kumar won the I prize while Vinita Chandwani was awarded I runners up.

Hollywood Celebrity Paula Patton wore jewellery designed by Riddhi Choudhary for ORRA at the Academy Awards 2014 (OSCARS). Riddhi is currently working as a designer with ORRA Diamond Jewellery in Mumbai.

THE ROYAL CHARM

ARCH Jewellery Department, Khushboo Soni won the third prize at JAS (Jewellers Association Show), Jaipur. The Royal Charm - inspired by vintage and antique perfume bottles, is a multi-purpose jewellery piece for men, sponsored by Motisons Jewellers. The multiple purpose piece can be worn as a pendant, brooch or wristwatch. It also has a pen drive, a pen & a cotton womb for fragrance.

FOAID (Festival of Architecture & Interior Design) is an annual festival of creative minds to meet and discuss the new facets of the design fraternity. The theme for FOAID 2018: Time to Reimagine. 8 colleges were selected to install their concept at the FOAID event at DELHI. ARCH College of Design & Business was awarded Diamond winner of the EXPRESSIONS competition.
