Pattern Design Workshop
Design inspiration can come from unexpected places—like a Sudoku puzzle! At ARCH College of Design and Business, our students explored this unique approach during a dynamic workshop led by the esteemed faculty of our partner institution, Manchester Metropolitan University.
With expert guidance from Rachel Kelly, a celebrated innovator in wallcovering design, students from Fashion, Interior, Communication, and Jewelry Design delved into the art of creating intricate patterns. The workshop emphasized using new materials and techniques to translate Sudoku-inspired designs into stunning textile patterns. Students also gained valuable insights into global and Indian patterns, learning to blend traditional elements with modern aesthetics.
The session didn’t just teach design; it inspired a fresh perspective on problem-solving and creativity, equipping our students to think beyond boundaries and present complex ideas with simplicity.
