Cumulus Student Talent Camp - Day 1
Arch College of Design & Business warmly welcomed a diverse group of students, both international and national, on October 30th, marking the inaugural day of the Cumulus Student Talent Camp 2023. The day commenced with an inspiring address by Lorenzo Imbesi, President of the Cumulus Association and Director of Sapienza Design Research. He extended his best wishes to all the students as they embarked on their journey, underscoring the historic significance of this event – the first-ever Cumulus Student Talent Camp hosted by the Arch College of Design & Business in India. He assured the students that this would be an experience of a lifetime.
Following his words, Ms. Archana Surana, Vice President of the Cumulus Association and Founder and Director of Arch College, provided an orientation session, offering students valuable insights and context for the camp.
The day's activities included an enriching visit to Neerja Blue Pottery, where students delved into the heritage art of Jaipur's Blue pottery. Next, they explored Nila House, Jaipur Watch Company, and Gomes Gems, all of which are integral to Indian craft and clusters. These visits allowed students to gain a comprehensive understanding of the intricate working processes and the application of design thinking in these industries.
The students also had the opportunity to explore the local market of Jaipur, famously known as the Pink City, renowned for its creativity and uniqueness. The day concluded with an enchanting evening of Rock Satsang, where students experienced the art of living in a truly captivating style.
