For the October edition of ARCH’s Design Culture Dialogue series two sessions were organised on the themes “Harmonious Liveability” and “ Design Leadership”. On 9th October 2021, Mr Srini Srinivasan, President, World Design Organisation, Eija Salmi, Secretary-General, Cumulus joined Ms Archana Surana, Founder & Director, ARCH and Prof. Bhargav Mistry, Dean-Design Culture,ARCH to discuss how leadership in the Design Industry can bring about substantial changes in this uncertain world.
On 30th October 2021, Mr Rajesh Jain, Senior Director Programs, Swadesh Foundation, Ms Kavita Choudhary, Design & Brand Philosopher, Jaipur Rugs and Mr Amitabh Shah, Founder & Chief Inspiration Officer, YUVA Unstoppable had a conversation on “Harmonious Liveability”. The Conversation was focussed on the interrelationship between the Biosphere and the Technosphere and the importance of Design’s active role toward bringing harmonious living and its ability to bring change in this era of vulnerability, uncertainty, ambiguity & complexities.
ARCH’s Design Culture initiative, motivated by the need for Circular Design Literacy, focuses on building in the students an innate need to keep circularity at the epicenter. With Design being the Driver for a culture-wide rethinking of how we design systems to handle resources and how we build networks and partnerships can solve long faced global challenges.
