IndigoTalk- An Open Conversation on Indigo and Indian crafts
A Master Class under the umbrella of, “Indigo-Talk”- a Series of interactive open dialogues and workshops is to create awareness for the natural colors, plant based organic dyes was conducted at ARCH Campus. An initiative by team, Global Indigo festival in association with Spandan Weavers, artisans community from Craft Council of North West India, AKFD & Shilpi.
Speakers shared how, India's rural craft of Indigo Dying is on a verge of extinction, to ensure that the revival of the rural crafts can take place and it rebuilds the value of India's own Indigo, along the crafts; and how to engage young designers for the same.The conversations not only created awareness but also shared the insightful knowledge of these very detailed subjects and engaged students to understand the importance of such True Treasure.
The session was conducted by master craftsman Sri Brij Ballabh Udaiwal, Ayush Kasliwal from AKFD & Shipra Mathur along with our director, Archana Surana.
