Chr-Cha on Myth to Meaning
This month’s Chr-Cha a creativity meet was held on the theme Myth to Meaning – Narratives Towards Sustainable Future. Panel consists of Mr. Brij Bhushan Bhasin, Craft & Textile Commissioner, Ex-IPS Officer, Former CMD, HHEC & Cottage Industries, Mr. Vikram Joshi, a Textile Historian, Owner Rangotri Exports & Director, Jaipur & Ms. Archana Surana, Founder & Director, ARCH College was the moderator for the session.
The theme of the session was beautifully expressed by the panellists. Mr. Bhasin sharing his experiences explained that the exemplary work in the field of art and culture primarily comes from 4 sources. They are Religious places, Royal Families, Tribal art & Festivals of India. He emphasised it is very important to inculcate the ethos of art & culture in our young generation that can be carried forward for generations to come.
At the same time, Mr Joshi emphasised by using technological advancements in right manner, we cannot only promote our Art &Culture, but it can be revived and taken back to the society.
Ms. Surana mentioned that is very important to keep the roots of our art & culture intact and so the next generations can learn and appreciate them.
The participants from various walks, like Academicians, Designers, Industry, and Bureaucracy too shared their ideas and best practices which can be used to spread the message of a sustainable future for fashion.
