Masterclass by Prof. Ian King
A Master Class on "Fashion of Design" was conducted by Prof. Ian King, Professor of Aesthetics & Management, London College of Fashion, University of the Arts, London. In his session, Prof. King spoke about how India can become World’s next fashion manufacturing powerhouse. Discussing about the strengths and weakness of Fashion in India, he said, fashion is enriching. In India every product has a unique story which we do not found in the west. India being a culturally diverse county & with large number of youth, Indian designs reflect its people emotions. Students asked questions on world fashion, sustainable fashion etc.Students from various schools too attended the same.
In the end Ms. Surana, announced that, ARCH is hosting Fashion Colloquia 2020 in January 2020.The Fashion Colloquia is made up of a core network of 4 institutions (IFM-Paris, Parsons-New York, LCF-London, Domus-Milan) connected by their residence and involvement in the four big ‘fashion weeks’ across the globe and housed at the London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London.
