India–UK Design Education Workshop Series – 2nd Workshop

ARCH faculty participated at this prestigious workshop event that was organized by the India Design Council with British Council in India on January 29 to 31, 2018 at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The second workshop of India–UK Design Education Workshop series was held here. The topic of deliberation for the first workshop had been "Future of Design Education", while the focus of the second workshop was on “Capacity Building”. This three-day intensive program was the beginning of a journey towards collaborative brainstorming between two nations to shape design education. 
The key aim of this three-day workshop was to create favorable conditions to build effective and lasting partnerships between design education providers in India and the United Kingdom. It built on key challenges identified at the first workshop held at NID (National Institute of Design) in Ahmedabad, which aimed to examine the personal development and pedagogic aspects and how they may be co-developed as a means to build innovative partnerships between the two countries.
