Workshop on Contemporary Enameling by International Artist Kana Lomror
The students attended a five day workshop under Mr. Kana Lomror, an internationally renowned enamelling artist who has been teaching it since 2002 through short and long term courses. Mr. Kana has done his masters in fine arts and currently has workshops in New Delhi and Mumbai. Vitreous enamel is a material made by fusing powdered glass to a substrate by firing both in a glass furnace. This is an old and widely adopted technology, for most of its history mainly used in jewellery and show pieces. The students learn making different decorative enameled badges, jewellery and giftware.
