21 years is a long time. To build something from nothing and to keep it running for so many years requires perseverance, dedication and business foresight. The founder-director, Mrs Archana Surana, epitomises all of it. What started as a modest beginning is now a top-notch college providing 6 UG and PG design streams and several Craft Design Courses: Fashion Design, Interior Design, Product Design, Jewellery Design, Graphic Design and Digital Design.
ARCH has always promoted a collaborative environment and has witnessed several successful graduates breaking all boundaries and carving a path towards setting some benchmarks in their respective fields. Every organisational achievement that we have had was possible because of the dreams and efforts of our visionary leader Mrs Archana Surana, along with the dedicated ARCH team. To celebrate these glorious 21 years, Arch College of Design and Business organised an event for its 22nd Foundation Day on the 3rd of April, 2021. To grace the occasion, Ms Suneeta Meena, Additional DCP, Rajasthan Police Service, Nodal Officer of Nirbhaya Squad, was our Honourable Chief Guest. The celebrations began with the ceremonial lamp being lit by Ms Meena, along with Mrs Archana Surana and other faculties of the college.
The evening matured into beautiful dance performances by our students, followed by a fashion show inspired by the theme of Khadi, Typewriters and the Creators of the universe: Radhe Krishna and Lord Shiva. The students designed some gorgeous garments and walked the ramp to showcase the aesthetics of the attires created. The garments celebrated, promoted and portrayed the values and mandate of the Institute. The pioneering element was the 25ft tall garment installation made of the Test fits at the campus. The passion and commitment of our students in pursuit of excellence are unparalleled. Their disciplined conduct, strong-minded focus and willingness to undertake a task like this have added laurels to our cap. The theme of the garment was to educate about sustainable design, which it aptly did. The layering in the garment, the subtle use of colours and the state-of-the-art silhouette depicted the ARCH narrative: achieving excellence through innovation.
The impeccable fashion show, beautiful costumes, delightful dances and soothing music summed up ARCH’s united educational culture. The appreciation received from the DCP gave some brownie points to the students and motivated them to work harder. It was a day of 21 years of reminiscing; it was a day of potential prospects; it was a day celebrating endless achievements and a day awaiting accolades yet to achieve.
